Antique cable link chain , approximately 21.5" long, that length including an 18k dog clip which is unoriginal to the chain. The chain was spliced from a long guard, which has British marks for 15k; this part of the same chain is unmarked.
The chain has a patina and wear commensurate with age. Both ends of the chain itself have very tiny nicks and one a bit of metal from the link being cut and reconnected. The chain is approximately 33g.
the dog clip is open ended and can be removed by a professional jeweler should you ever want to replace it with a different kind of clasp. Also commensurate with age, it functions well and is a lovely addition to the piece. The other end has the original jump ring, which is also open and commensurate with age.
