The shank and band are gilt or gold plate, in keeping with this era and style. There appears to have been some minor patching around some of the garnets. Some pretty detailing on the upper shank- just a cozy, lovely piece. size 4.75 and could be sized for $50 more, though may be hard to match this metal. Email for that service .
