Antique shield shaped carnelian intaglio, pre-Victorian, with a crisp crest that reads "spectemur agendo": "let us be judged by our acts." Above this, is a fist holding what appears to be a broken blade.  Sizable size 5 1/4, a hefty 8 g. The solid gold undergallery reads "JGP USMA" with a worn date- perhaps 1810. 14 karat gold, and a rosey hue.
