Milgrain (derived from the French mille-grain, meaning "a thousand grains") is A technique featuring Rose of tiny metal beads, or "grains,"  along the edges of a setting. It adds a vintage, or textured aesthetic to rings, popular in Art Deco and antique-style jewelry.
